Two world-renowned diabetes experts attended the recent Middle East and North Africa Region 2012 Diabetes Conference, a collaboration between the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF).
QSTP was the Technology Innovation Partner of QITCOM, held from 26-28 May 2014 at Qatar National Convention Centre, and used the occasion to present some of the best technologies developed by local innovators with QSTP support.
Dugongs are large herbivorous marine mammals, weighing more than 400kg, which consume sea grasses and inhabit the waters of at least 37 countries around the world. The species can live for up to 70 years. Qatar is home to the second-largest population of dugongs in the world, behind only Australia.
