The 60 Second Interview: Saad Al Dosari

Saad Al Dosari, the Administration Support Manager of Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra speaks about his talents, ambitions and personal goals
Saad Al Dosari
What made you want to be a part of Qatar Foundation (QF)?
I wanted to be more active, to help and support the growth and development of my country. I also believe that this organization has one of the best Qatari development schemes. The work environment in QF cannot be found anywhere else in the world and I am proud to be a part of its journey.

What do you think is the secret of personal success?
Honesty is integral in both work and personal life. To be successful you need to be honest with yourself and others.

Do you have any special talents?
I love poetry, especially when I get replies from many people on Twitter or Facebook who love my poems. I have been writing poetry since I was 12 years old and have had many poems published in national newspapers and around the GCC.

Do you enjoy sport?
I love football. I used to play for Al-Rayyan club before I went to university in the United States. But now I really love to watch and follow Real Madrid club. In Doha I support Al Rayyan. I am also interested in the NBA (LA Lakers) and NFL.

Do you have a personal goal?
I have recently become more conscious about my health and fitness. It makes me feel more invigorated at work and more passionate about my professional life.

What is your favorite place to visit in Qatar?
I like Zekreet beach as the sea is clean and calm with many good spots for fishing. I also like the place where I was born which is Al Nasraniya. I feel nostalgic when I see my old house and the places where I used to play as a child.

Who is your role model?
My Father. When I was a child he always advised me to walk the right way, with the right people. Based on that, I am lucky to have good friends and also thanks to God, a good life.

What is your greatest ambition?
To represent QF or Qatar internationally in order to show the world the warm hearted nature of the Qatari people.

What is the last QF-related event you’ve attended?
A QPO Concert. I am lucky that I work for a center which produces many events every year. Classical music (especially Beethoven) gives me many fresh ideas for writing my poetry.
